Corporate Identity
When you give your business card to a prospect, you're placing
your image in their hand. Your corporate image is registered
again when a prospect spies your envelope as he's looking
through his mail.
Your corporate identity must be consistent across all communications
in order to build recognition and value in
the prospect's mind. You'll want to ensure that your letterhead, business cards,
stationery, envelopes, pocket folders, thank you cards, event invitations,
etc., all carry the same logo, colors, and basic design elements. And this
design should be consistent with that of your website, advertising, brochures...
you get the idea.
But in addition to being dynamic and eye-catching,
your materials must be practical. If your letterhead looks
great in the mail but doesn't reproduce well when faxed, you've just wasted
your money on design that falls short of what it should do.
