Spontaneous, expressive and vibrant
Oil and cold wax painting is a unique and versatile technique that involves mixing oil paints with cold wax medium. The paint becomes more transparent with a paste-like consistency, allowing me to build up layers and create textured surfaces. My oil and cold was portraits are spontaneous, expressive and vibrant with lots of texture. I apply multiple layers using a variety of tools like palette knives, spatulas and silicone brushes. I rarely use regular brushes when using this combination.
